Congratulations to our new Divemasters

a group of people standing next to a body of water

For the last 4 months we have been working with Divemaster’s Mel and Hayley and they have done such an amazing job!!!

Divemaster Internships aren’t happening in Perth so we thought we would try something different by offering a unique way to learn to become a Divemaster, through an internship. Working on the boat, gaining more experience and assisting on more dive courses leads to becoming a better dive guide and deckhand.

So what does it mean to be a Divemaster?

Now that we have put the girls through numerous tests and exercises, we are proud to say they are ready. After assisting on more then 4 open water courses, 5 advanced and 3 rescue courses each and leading numerous shore and Rottnest dives they are ready to do it all without our assistance. Being a dive guide means you have the responsibility of guiding certified divers, assisting on dive courses and we also feel confident that the girls will do an amazing job!

Where from here?

You’ll be seeing more of the girls underwater as we take them on for the upcoming dive season.
Once September hits, we will be running regular shore dives and night dives in which the girls will be leading the trips. Also plans for future dive travel down south as our team grows and we can expand.

We look forward to the upcoming dive season and all the next adventures we have with our awesome dive crew!!!
