Bucket List Diver is now proud to announce that Antoni & Kate are PADI Instructors. The Open Water Course is designed to help you discover the underwater world and become a safe diver. The Course takes place in 3 days, includes a day of pool training, 2 shore dive (sometimes up to 4 dives), 2 boat dives and am elearning course that you prepare on your own time.

At the end of the course, you will be able to :

  • Dive independently with a buddy
  • Go no deeper than 18m
  • Respond to any accident happening during a dive
  • Control your buoyancy to optimise your experience
  • Get you PADI Open Water Card
We offer you the PADI Elearning course because we believe that it allows you to learn in your own way and in your own time. However if you are a group and you wish to do the course in a classroom, give us a ring to organise it.

3 Day Open Water Course Schedule 2 shore dives, 2 boat dives

The first morning, we will meet at a Pool in Fremantle to check up your paperwork and give you the detail of the course. After that we will try the Scuba Diving Gear and start to set up the equipment. Then we will begin our first pool sessions. We always start in shallow water where you can stand and get confident, but soon enough, we will move to deeper water to master the important skills. We will have a lunch break and finish our pool training in the afternoon. We generally try to end up the day with a dive depending on how comfortable you are.

The second day will be dedicated to diving. We will do 2 to shore dives in the morning. During those dives, we will practice the skills you learn the day before and of course take time to explore and enjoy the dive sites. In the afternoon, we will probably do a third dive if the weather allows for it. If we have the chance to do the optional dives, you will be certified before you get onto the boat.

The third day, we will take the boat out for the 2 final dives. The third one is also a review of your skills, with of course an exploration part. But on the last one you will be in charge of your dive, the instructor will stay at the back to watch over you. Depending of the course and dates you are choosing, we are offering a trip to Rottnest Island on a boat that we are privately chartering or a couple of boat dive on the Lena Wreck. At Rottnest, with no more than 6 guests and the crew, we like to think that our experience is very personal and unforgettable. With our Captain John, we choose accordingly where the Moonshine will anchor for the dive. If you choose to dive the Lena, you will come aboard Octopus Garden and visit an incredible wreck that will make you a spoiled diver!
