Enjoy a fun day of scuba diving at Rottnest island
The turquoise waters of Rottnest reveal to the divers multitudes of fish species. Composed of limestone, the reef is full of caves and swim-throughs, making every dive in Rottnest spectacular and thrilling. This dive trip day is right for anyone who is certified and has been diving within the last 12 months and confident in their abilities.
Aboard Linni, our private charter, we will leave East Street Jetty. Our crew will help you set up and make sure you are ready for a day of unforgettable scuba diving. We offer equipment rental that will be directly available on the boat, no need to pick it up at a dive shop. Our objective is to give you that Island Holiday feeling, that you only get abroad.
After an hour cruise, we will do our two dives in different locations. We choose the best site possible depending on your certification level and weather conditions. After the diving, we will have nice a nice hot shower and lunch before cruising back to Perth (return 2.30 winter schedule and 1:30pm summer schedule).
A Divemaster will lead the dives, while the skipper will prepare fruits platters, hot drinks and a famous lunch!
We pick our dive sites on the day, after we have talked with you. If you have been to Rottnest Island before, we will try to make you discover a new site (or bring you to your favourite spot). Rottnest Island has many iconic sites like Roe Reef, Crystal Palace, Shark Cave and Swirl Reef.

Rottnest Island hosts over 200 dive sites ranging from shallow reef to walls and caves and wrecks. The top Dive sites are Shark Cave, 3 wrecks, Opera House and Roe reef. We will choose the most appropriate site according to the divers experience and the weather on the day. We also try to surprise you with new spots and we are always looking for new holes to put our head in.
To dive Shark Cave, all the stars have to align perfectly: low swell, low wind and no current. Shar Cave is also an advanced dive down to 25 metres. When all conditions are right, we always to do our best to get there. Most of the time we advertise that the trip goes to Shark Cave on Facebook and Instagram a couple of day before. It is impossible for us to know more than a couple of day prior to the trip.

Rottnest is a limestone island, so plenty of swim throughs and caves to explore. Humpback whale season August-November. Grey Nurse sharks year round at Shark Cave. On a lucky day, we might spot dolphins and sealions. Our classic fish are the Southern Blue Devil, samson fish, red lips morwong and buffalo bream.

We welcome all certified divers. On the booking date you choose, we will specify if you need a special certification as Advanced Diver or Deep Diver. If nothing is mentioned , that means that all level are welcome. Our complementary Divemaster will take care of you!

Our vessel Moonshine II accommodates up to 12 people but for Scuba Diving we take between 6-8 people in order to give room to your dive gear. We also achieved to build a nice community of regular divers that will welcome you. Many divers met on the boat and keep diving together around the world.
If you don’t have a buddy, no problem! We will buddy you up on the day. We also provide a FREE dive guide on all our trips

East Street Jetty, Fremantle, the boat will be docked just behind the café “Jetty Bar & Eats”. If you can not see the boat, look on the water not in the car park 🙂
The ride over to Rottnest Island takes 60min to Thompson Bay. The more further dive sites are 90min boat ride.

All our Rottnest Island dive trips include snacks, yummy lunch, drinking water and 2 guided Dives. You need 2 tanks to take part to the dive. You can either bring your own or rent them from us.

Before you join our boat trip, we will ask you to complete a Refresher or Reactivate course from the shore at your own cost. You will enjoy your dive much more after that and will not feel like you are holding back the group.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide that service. We do not know where we are diving before we get to the island and we might be at the opposite side of the island. If you are in a group and staying at Rottnest island or want to be dropped off at Rottnest island, we can accommodate a private dive charter for you

We take limited numbers of divers on Moonshine 2 so we cannot accommodate snorkelers on our dive trips. If you wish to join us for snorkeling, we run dedicated snorkeling trips. See our page:
